Rare on-the-record comments from an Android handset maker about Google's "new" policies to clamp down on some software tweaks:
Christy Wyatt, Motorola's corporate vice president of software and services product management, said that the interaction between handset makers and Google has not changed but it has matured. Ms. Wyatt said Google has become more explicit in the ways that handset makers tweak the phone as the ecosystem grows.
"Every platform I have ever worked with goes through the same process," she said. "More developers start doing more and more things on top of the operating system and you become very careful."
