Despite the constant nonsense sputtered by Marco Arment, Ben Brooks and other Apple developers, it seems unlikely that every Android user is either a. an idiot or b. secretly wishes they had an iPhone.
Mobile online polling firm Qriously asked 10,500 randomly selected Android users which phone OS they planned to buy next and 79% said they'd stick with Android. Android users were also pretty happy with the Android app market, according to the survey. Asked if they were happy with the quality of Android apps, 82% said yes. Asked if they thought the iPhone had better apps, 64% said no.
Of course, such preferences are always going to float around a bit based on the latest and greatest phones for each operating system. But there's no data to suggest that Android is about to disappear.
