I hate to be so blunt, but how ignorant of Android is MG Siegler? Google Voice integrates into Android phone SMS messaging apps and sends free texts to anyone with any kind of SMS-compatible device, including non-Android phones. It also receives SMS texts from any sender of any kind for free. Apple's iMessage is another walled-in, locked-down service like Facetime that would be literally exponentially more valuable if it was open to all.
