Among other emerging problems with Mac OS X Lion, more and more folks are finding that Apple has screwed up the Safari web browser. Here's Kate MacKenzie's take (she's switching to Chrome):
Here’s the laundry list of Safari on Lion. Strange tab behavior. Zooms come and go without clicking. Web pages disappear, replaced by the lovely gray linen. Flash still crashes (but Safari lives on… for awhile). Automatic (and not so automatic) refresh of tab windows. Restarting the Mac brings Safari tabs back, but no URLs and no content in the tabs. Oh, and the frequent spinning beach ball of death while Safari checks into a rehab clinic (or something). I don’t think Apple fully understands what Empty Cache… really means.
