Hulu owners call off sale

The major TV and movie studios tried to sell their online video portal, Hulu, but it seems couldn't convince anyone to buy it. No surprise. Rumored talks with potential buyers like Google and Yahoo broke down over rights issues. No one wants to pay for a hobbled Hulu that was likely to lose content and get worse over time because of the studios' demands. Staci Kramer has the official statement:

“Since Hulu holds a unique and compelling strategic value to each of its owners, we have terminated the sale process and look forward to working together to continue mapping out its path to even greater success.  Our focus now rests solely on ensuring that our efforts as owners contribute in a meaningful way to the exciting future that lies ahead for Hulu.”
