Some slightly goofy journalism on the ease with which kids can order stuff on their parents' Kindle Fire tablets. Yes, yes, it comes out of the box with one-click, no-password-needed ordered turned on. Yes, yes, it takes three seconds to change the default and prevent this sort of "disaster." I sort of remember this happening before with some other tablet. As for Ben "Over the top" Brooks? Probably not the best source of objective buying recommendations.
UPDATED: So the parental controls on the Fire only limit one aspect of buying -- in-app purchases -- not anything else. And the directions for turning off one-click ordering don't appear for most people. A much more serious problem than I had thought.
